tengu's ahoy

ok so yer lots of blogs this week
i cant help myself

today seems i go along to a CTA in my ares (trusty little ceptor it is), its a tengu fleet (yer i know I'm in the wrong ship but everyone needs ceptors and i always do my part), as such i get such a nice lot of screens i have to share them so here we go...

apart from the fun i had flying my ceptor around it was not a very fun fleet to be in, there was a battle but it was very short and only got a hand full of kills... at least we did not lose and i have fun with the ceptor

in other news (or at the same time i was away orbiting tengus at over 5000m/s) my corp went out on a roam in destroyers to gank hulks in high sec... they killed 3 then called it a night. 3 hulks for what was about 9 destroyers between them (and they got to loot the Field) not bad and a bit of fun. always teaching the lesson in eve, watch out you are never safe no matter where you are. high sec is not safe space it is just space where after someone has killed you they will get poped themselves...

anyway

days when everything goes wrong

some days in eve
everything can seem like its not going your way

1st my corp lose 2 dreads while trying to destory a small POS, they got ganked by more dreads and a nyx.
then the roam we took out out ganked by a gang twice our size... lessons learnt
then i have to sell my customs office to some stupid people because they want to charge 10% to everyone inc. their own alliance (i told them they are crazy and ownt earn any money or make any freinds (most likey be told to set it back again)) but anyway i sold it and now i need to move my PI somewhere else (im not paying 10% tax)

but good thing is, the dreads shruged off the loss and going to keep going
we will roam today and make up for any misstakes
and i will move my PI to somewhere which is easyer for me to manage

quick update on how eve can throw that curve ball at you. just bonce back again

till next time

the low sec gate camp thing...

not much been going on in null at the moment (at least not where we live), thats always the sign to go somewhere else and have a bit of fun.
so we roam Providence a bit, it nice to see my old home back up and working again even if i am the one going around killing people in it this time round, but honastly i belive i am teach lessons and looking for good fights, provi has always used to be the place where people go to learn about 0.0. now that it seems its back to that i am more than happy to lend a helping hand in teach people about loss...

ma cane and tempest :D

we also been camping avair, avair is the 1st system in a dead end low sec pokect, sitting on the ebo gate and waiting for targets is how we are currenty passing out time out of fleets (when we dont have anything else to do in other words), it is painful at times then all of a sudden then it can get very frantic and fun... low sec for ya...

nice shot i think

got a tempest for my alt :D nice ship if you want a BS that can move and do some nice damage (next i guess will be the teir 3 BC the tornado), also spent about 500mil isk on skillbooks i can now fly every sub-cap in the game (with zama) then every mini ship with zarca (my alt) :D

hummm it looks so 3D
anyway till next time

my little muse about EVE online

i find myself ask this question often "why do i play eve online". then find out that the question i ask (mainly to myself) is very long and complex. (much like the game)...

last year i introduced two Friends to EVE online, both of which play a lot of games and a lot of MMO's (lots of titles i never heard of before), one lasted for a month had some fun and then got board, they other 2 months had some fun made a tone of money and then quit give it all to me (i was not complaining). i ended up asking myself that same question (in a different way) "why did they not like eve online". well its quite simple really, they never play any game for longer than a week they always like the new and get board VERY fast, the fact eve online kept them playing over a month is impressive. this year i asked them why they left they said "takes too long to get anywhere", hell i agree with them Hench one of the reasons i like eve so much, you have to invest real effort and time in to the game and it rewards you for it, but its not just a game which you can play to get to the top right away, effort and time both are needed.

they are now playing new star wars MMO and have made it to the top level in under a month (an example of how much they play), i am very happy you cant do this in eve, after 4 years of play i would be very annoyed if someone who is 1 year in to the game comes along and is telling me what to do... mind you sometimes that happens but sometimes they deserve it because they are good at it. Hench another reason i like eve... you don't need skill points to be good at eve, you need to understand the game and be good at flying around controling the space (and people) around you.

eve is complex on many levels and there is a lot of reasons i like to play the game. i could type for ages about why i like this and that, but they all come down to the same two reasons in my mind... i like eve because you have to invest time, knowledge and effort, these investments are not hardships just you cant just walk in and own everything from the start you have to think about what you are doing, also i like eve because you need skill to play it, not skill points, not ship class, you can win a fight* or earn money in ANY ship (and you are a fool if you believe otherwise) with any amount of money or skill points, if you know how to play the game you can win but eve is so complex that from day to day how to play the game might change (and it does)

so there you go eve is not for everyone (really it is not for a lot of people) but the few that it is worth playing for get an awful lot out of it
i guess i like the games where you sit back and take you time (Hench i also like "X" games and Sims like "sins of a solar empire" or "civ" games, funny how they are mostly Si-fi games...)

so anyway enjoy the pics
and fly upside down with style

*when i say fight i mean any fight battle of market, battle for your ship, fleet combat, solo fighting... all you need is the power (skill) to pick who and how you fight, if you get both of them you will always win versus anything

new corp and pritty pics

ok lets get to the detail

4 years ago (27/062008) i joined "FACTS on EVE" as a co-founder of the corp, on 16th of january 2012 i left and joined "Exclusion cartel", here is why...

guns :D

eve is a game of change, if you don’t keep mixing up your game and changing your play it becomes very boring and you leave the game out of frustration (as I seen many bitter vets do when they don’t want to log in to do the same old thing), PvP is only of the game play styles that is always on the move if you PvP often and keep going with the changes it keeps you having fun. a little while ago I made the choice to go full on PvP player (no rating, no indy and no mining) (apart from my PI with is minimal amount of time to manage and passive income, ooo and my R&D which I not touched in ages... lol so not just PvP).

titan flyby

FACTS is a 0.0 corp, we have 0.0 style players, we have PvPers and others, a strong corp but it’s been a long ride and FACTS has been tough hell and back again, it’s been fun, as such directors and CEO are worn out, Inc. myself, and as such corp is in a passive (still good state) this is when I realised to myself "Zama I want to go change things around a little and have fun in a new fresh area", so I got some old friends in a corp I been flying with locally "Exclusion cartel" who are new, they PvP, they have fun... they are members of "the kadeshi" who also PvP and have fun, plus they euro 100% English speaking (which is a plus from mostly Russian speaking for me). So it’s a no brainer, I join them change my game, start having fun again. Change is good, it is part of our human nature to be weary of change, but if you accept change it can be good for the soul.

dont let that station get away
Not content with leaving my friends behind me invited them along with me. And low and behold the whole corp comes too, now basically FACTS is no more (move away from 0.0 at any rate may rise again) and we moved to new corp where everyone is having more fun than before. Like I said change is good and now we embrace our change and make a good corp better, taking all that is good and adding more just makes more good things happen. As such I feel great things coming to this corp and myself soon.

Skills at Level 5:    99

sum that up i can basically fly everything tech 2 apart from tech 2 battleships which are not Gallente (i do love my sin), oo i cant fly a titan and i never want too

i can also use any tech two gun, and a lot of tech 2 launchers. i can also tank any type tech 2 and quite effectively, amour being my strong point but shield tanking is very good too.

i have a few skills points in planet management (this is this is same for both my accounts) and its well worth the time i make quite a bit of money off PI
as you can see i got quite a few SP so far and most of them are high level.

on to where i have been

so yer what can we see here... north/south divide mainly the two main places i have every spent my time in eve. starting south in old provi. then moving north to the NC, at this point i explored and did PvP in a lot of different places (east, west and south again) so my map is quite full (apart from the far west blood raider space and half of drone/angel space). after leaveing the NC i went back south again to join the -A- bloc (ROL and now "the kadeshi") hopefuly i can get them east and west areas visited.

so thats about it for this blog
next on my list is a little info about my move to "the kadeshi" and what has happened to my corp FACTS on EVE (plus where it is off too hopefully)

enjoy

Probeing

so i dont a bit of probeing today... what that i hear you say "well yer everyone probes for sites" ha well im probeing for ships... :D

ok so i start today off with the aim to get in some good old PvP and small scale (before any more CTA's kick off). so in to my daredevil and off i go, one jump and hello a solo Jaguar sitting a little way off gate. i take a moment to think about it and go for it, burn to range and start webing... looks like he is up for it no blob and he is moveing in to attack as well. i orbit him turn the AB off for a moment and kick in my amour rep, my sheilds down amour going slowly just need to brake that jags sheild and he will go down... a little while latter my hull is gone and my cap runs out... http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11194561 dam that as a good start.
dam i was orbiting the jag at 5km not 2km (best to get real close with a daredevil) might of made the diffrance...
never mind go back get a keres and some help. while i am away http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11202434 someone else has the same idea and pulls it off... ha well at least i know you can do it shame the vaga came in and killed that daredevil (seems the jag was not up to play fair).

i get back in system looks like that vaga is on the run. i find him at a planet get point get gets away (haha not going to pop me with my damps). so the dude gets away before a cyna can really start eating away at him... and logs off in system... ha ha ha... lets go get the prober and give the old skills a burn. few mins later. http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11214997 :D all thanks to a bit of skill with the old probes.

but no my probeing day is not ending there. later on we trying to pin down an incursus guess what he trys to get away and logs off with agro. i go get my probes and few moment later its dead :D http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=11256404
not the most value kill but he was trying not to die and it feels good to have sucess

well thats my day for you

hope you enjoy
